Congratulations to all the swimmers who have already finished their Long Course IMX Challenge in just two meets!  Swim those longer events at Mt. Lebanon and join these challengers!

As soon as your swimmer completes their events, please send an email to ANSCNews@yahoo.com with their name, their practice group and their T-shirt size (adult S, M, L or XL).  Their IMX T-shirt and IMX swim cap will be given to their practice group coach for distribution and recognition.

USA Swimming is very pleased to announce an exciting new program … the I.M. Xtreme Challenge. The IMX Challenge is a motivational program whereby swimmers will be scored and ranked nationally on their performance in a combination of five or six events. The purpose of the program is to promote versatility in age group swimming while advocating greater participation and development across a range of events that are integral to long term success in swimming.

Program Description
Swimmers will participate in a designated combination of five or six events and, based on the power points scored for each of those swims, earn a combined score that will be called the IMX Score. These combined scores will be ranked by single ages with rankings and recognition available on the USA Swimming website.

Age Groups and Events
The following single age groups and event combinations will be tabulated and scored for both men and women:

   10 & Under: 200 IM, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly
  11-12-year olds: 200 IM, 400/500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly
  13 - 18 -year olds: 200 IM, 400 IM, 400/500 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly

How to Participate
Coach Wenzel will be working with each swimmer in Development 1, Competitive 1, Competitive 2 and the Senior Group to make sure that those swimmers are entered in the IMX events throughout the season.  Age Group coaches will be working with each swimmer to make sure that they move toward the goal of being able to swim all of the IMX events for their age group with a legal stroke.   Swimmers only need to compete in the IMX combination of events for their age group and they will be part of the program.  As ANSC swimmers complete all of the IMX events, they will receive an IMX swim cap and t-shirt and their name will be listed here.
